Hmm ... I was reasonably satisfied with Adama. I think it really depends on what parts of him you pull out though. The whole ship-as-family thing fits well with me being a sponsor ... but not the whole forced-distance-between-self-and-family thing ... hrmm ....

yeah...it's the latter part that doesn't fit you and it seems like it's sort of a big part of his character (not that I'd know since I haven't actually seen the show much).
