1000 Cranes - then what?

I've got on an origami kick and decided to try again to make the traditional 1000 cranes. (I've tried twice before and not made it, so hopefully third time's the charm

Oh golly no, don't burn them! Yikes! D: You hang them inside your house as a permanent thing, you can donate them to a local hospital for them to hang in the children's cancer ward, or you can even send them to the Hiroshima Children's Peace Monument: http://www.city.hiroshima.lg.jp/www/contents/1465865303781/index.html

If you do the hang outside until they get tattered thing, I would gently recycle them, but don't burn them.

Thanks! After posting I had thought of recycling them.

I would shy away from sending them to a hospital or monument unless they'd been made with that intention.
