Well that was an interesting evening. (This may get long.)

The denizens of Ohana House and many others in the suburbs here are frequent flyers at Hollywood Boulevard. Unlike most theatres, this is a smaller showhouse (four full screens and two "half-rooms" called The Marilyn and The Benny) that uses office chairs instead of theatre seating, and ( Read more... )

Man, you guys suck. I wanted to go to that. Hell, not olny would I have screen talked Airplane!, but I woulda groveled at Mr. Nielson's feet, telling him how we (at work) still use tons of quotes from that movie daily ;)

We'd've bought you a ticket had we known. Well, and if you were closer.

And the whole theatre (with a few notable exceptions) were talking back--the whole place went right along with "AND DON'T CALL ME SHIRLEY". It was almost -deafening-.

High point as well: watching Mr. Nielsen's face when someone asked him to autograph a Forbidden Planet DVD. I think he's glad people remember that one, even if Hollywood wants to remake it...

That or a CreepShow DVD woulda been neat for him to sign.
