I'm still here, but yes, it's been quiet around here lately. At this point I'm not posting anything to LiveJournal that I've not been willing to post anywhere else; and most of my stuff actually is written offline first. Since I redact some things before posting online, the offline version is the definitive one.
I ran a script a while back to make the majority of my journal private, but I just can't quite bring myself to delete it entirely. I had backed up my old ladyfirebird journal but that backup got lost on a computer switch, so it's gone. I don't want to lose this one too.
I've been cross-posting a semi-personal journal to LJ since about July, trying to keep myself in a regular habit. You should be able to see it, if you're interested in reading, but to speak to the earlier point, it's only "personal" in terms of tone. It has been revealing, though, to see how my own mental state ebbs and flows.
Other than that, I'm good - just busy with open enrollment season. How are you?
(And now I'm going off to read your blog...I hadn't realized you were keeping one. My bad!)
I will have a look at your blog! I've always loved your questioning and introspective nature, especially around religion. I haven't followed you very well, though; I know you're married now, and that you've had some trouble with people not accepting your family status?
My blog (if you hadn't found it yet) is at https://www.enchanter.net/blog/. I need to give it some TLC, though. It's been largely a dumping ground for whatever's on my mind. I want to update the theme to make it more welcoming, and use it to better showcase my writing (and to encourage me to write more in the first place).
So it's absolutely wild that I happen to find this post which is all of 10 days old as of this writing. I stopped writing to LJ a long time ago, but was randomly thinking back to my days on LiveJournal and people I corresponded with, remembered your name, did a Google Search, and here I am
