Funny how it sneaks up on you eh? Me, too.

Don't forget, Zombie Walk on October 13, and my party on October 27. You definitely need a costume. ;)

Oh yes, and that! October is a busy month. ;)

I don't know much about steampunk costuming. Is it not a Value Village-friendly one?

Where to shop for "off the rack" Steampunk in Calgary, the short list:

Value Village
Crown Surplus
Shoulder-to-Shoulder (in Inglewood)
Ribtor (Both the main store and their surplus place in Inglewood)
Chuckles/Don's Hobby Shop

I hit Crossroads market on the weekend and there were slim pickings for Steampunk. :(

What kind of character are you doing? That kind of determines what you need.

I'm thinking of a idle rich "collector" maybe with a hint of professor thrown in?

Maybe an indian jones type character that struck it rich and now keeps a finger or two in the pie?

I guess another constraint is I don't want to "just" do me, but my whole family ;)

I should note most of my Steampunk stuff I got off Ebay, but 5 weeks is really pushing it to guarantee getting it in time.

The Master plumber isle at Home Depot is also prime Steampunk territory. (also best spot for lightsaber parts) :)
