Its been a long time since I cried

Day started off normal, its JD day, saw lots of funny slate videos for next years student goverment. Then we went to home room and as soon as it was over I got a phone call. My brother told me my dog Niko, the dog I've had during my entire memoriable life, since I was 4 years old, the dog I grew up with my entire life who has ALWAYS been there, ( Read more... )

Wow, I feel for ya. I don't know how I'll react when my dog reaches that inevitable point. Probably the same way. She's 5 the 4th of July, but she's already feeble and appears to be suffering from arthritis.

It hurts to lose a loved one, whether they're human or animal it doesn't matter. As much as everything hurts right now, you'll feel better. In a book i read, one character was talking to another about a recent death in the family, and said

"You'll see that there's a time when the pain stops and the good memories start."

It's very true.

Until then, know that you have friends who are here for you. I told you that you can call if you'd like to (anytime, my phone is always on), but pretty much you can work through your grief your way. I hope you start to feel better soon (and yeah, everyone else has said it, so here: *hug*)
