Lessons learned today, episode VII

,I promised this next post would be more interesting. Whether or not I want it to, it should be because it's nearly (but not quite) six in the morning, and I woke up to study. it can turn out quite ~humiliating to sit outside someone's door, waiting for them to return, when they have been there all along. I hate it when people do that!
They totally waste other people's time.
That would be German service at its best.
Another paragon of German service is to have a shield hanging at your shop, which sais that you are open till 3 pm, and then you close your shop at noon. Great!

Haha, that doesn't happen too much here, to my knowledge, with the store hours being something other than it says. Us North Americans live on our rules, structures and routines, you see. We get frustrated when anything doesn't go as expected. *rolls eyes*

And I won't lie, I spent my time waiting outside the guy's door being mad that he dared go on a coffee break when he promised to meet with me. The fact that he was actually not on a coffee break did little to change my opinion, somehow. On the other hand, he turned out to be quite helpful, and the knowledge obtained was worth the wait. So I suppose he's forgiven. This time.

I woke up to study. Because somehow I justified going to bed at 11:30 and waking up at 5:30 rather than staying up late and sleeping in as late as I could. *shrugs*
It seemed like a good idea at 11:30. By 5:30 I was wanting to change my mind. :)
