Well, I went down to Circuit City over in Lynnwood to see if their discount structure has changed yet. I was looking at a camera lense (a Nikon 24~120mm f3.5~5.6 with VR) until I found that their 30% off took it down to be on-par with what you could order it for online.

Working at Circuit City *sigh* I can say the 20% off camera stuff hasn't been moving much of anything. Minus the older stuff simply because they were items not currently in normal inventory so the liqudators didn't know what to do with it.

Example: We had a bunch of Canon Rebel XTi kits sell for $397. Thats the body and the lens. Because the XTi was replaced with the... "special" XS, they weren't in our normal inventory so those were STILL sold cheaper then you can find them online. Damn.. I mean, I allready have one but, oh well.

And at our store we sell only two pathetic canon lenses. Same with Nikon; only the 70-300 and the 55-250 for canon, and I think the "kit" lens for Nikon plus their 70-300. Nothing really interesting or useful. Circuit City online had a ton of lenses; they must have been all sent to east and west coast stores because there's none here (even if I could excuse myself purchasing one since the economy sucks and I'll be out of a job in 3-8 weeks...)
