Heh, it is an absolute delight to see people on my f-list suddenly fall headlong into the Captive Prince craze now that the books are out. Also pfft, I have been following this story for two years now. Imagine having to deal with each and every cliffhanger at the end of each chapter with a month to go before the next chapter came out. It was sweet, sweet torture.

I was JUST thinking about how I'd die of longing if I'd started reading this when it all began, because there's NO WAY I'd be able to survive waiting for that kiss, among other things.

Well, given that there's still one whole book to go, there's still plenty of time to die of longing. Freece/ S. U. Pacat has a once-a-month posting schedule ok. It is agonizing. In all the best ways, because then there's time to go back and re-read bits and pieces, and the chapter that comes at the end of the wait is always, always top-notch, but then you go through the process all over again, and yeah. Agonizing.

i have heard so many people recc the captive prince thing, that i think i might have to jump in, too. (when i get time).

i am following (and enjoying) elementary. i think my un-american-ness means that some of the dynamic doesn't quite work for me, and i prefer the bbc holmes as a holmes character, but as a show i am definitely into it. and lucy liu is always a good watch.

he's completely lovely. i watch him all *______* most of the time. (same with lucy liu.)

i just find him a little ~too likable tbh. he's redeemed every episode. it feels a little too neat. and the enforced care dynamic that the viewer is supposed to just accept and support goes against my grain. having said that, i think that the actual acting is gorgeous and subtle. and the reason i continue to hunt down episodes online since i can't see it on telly here. :)

UGH ELEMENTARY IS SO SO GOOD I CANNOT EVEN! I JUST WANT TO DRAW HEARTS AROUND EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE CHARACTERS! JUST, JOAN AND SHERLOCK AND HOW THEY MAKE EACH OTHER BETTER VERSIONS OF THEMSELVES, UGH MY HEART! <3333

I've been flailing all over twitter about how great this show is, and now that they're actually starting to bring it with the plot and not just the characters, I can hardly stand it! Also, the Conan Doyle refs this week made me flail with joy.
