[A slow rustling, then the sound of what seems to be soft, insane cackling, gradually increasing in volume.]

[A quick, sharp intake of breath, followed by frantic fumbling, and a shriek of shock and terror.]

[And this would be Mitsuhide rushing in, moments later, with sword in hand. He has to stop very briefly to get a look at what the 'enemy' is... and looks very disbelieving as he takes the thing's head off mid-cackle.]

[Considering this is the city, he isn't sure if it's dead yet, and pokes the head with the tip of his blade, before eyeing the body wearily. It seems to have stopped moving though.]

W...What on earth is it supposed to be?

[Megumi is somewhere pressed against the wall, looking with residual terror at the thing's pitchfork, which was now sprawled across their living room floor.]

[However, when she comes to, and sees that Mitsuhide has disposed of whatever it was and has saved her, she immediately runs to him, throwing herself onto him in relief and fear.]

I don't know--

[She clings to him, looking up at him with big eyes.]

Do you think there are more?--

[He pats her on the shoulder, still looking at the scarecrow with confused eyes.]

Most... probably, if this is a curse. I should get out on patrol as soon as possible...

[She clings to him tighter, making a little sound in her throat that sounds like a wibble.]

[A small shiver skitters down her spine.]

What about you? Are you alright? I know you were barely fazed, but . . .

[She looks up at him, her eyes still big and imploring.]
