1. Increase exercise
2. St. John's Wort Tea - the Yogi Tea brand is the best. SJW is great for mild depression. Worked for me, also gave me crazy dreams, which was kind of fun.

st. john's wort makes me CRAZY. so take with caution, but many people have a good experience with it. kava kava, ginseng, and green energy pills from trader joes work well also.

ditto on the increase exercise. especially bike riding and yoga.

there's a mouth spray for SAD: seasonal affect disorder that is wonderful.

massage: move out all the junk.

spa day: also moves a lot of the junk out and increases circulation as well as relaxes you.

let yourself have a day where you give into that feeling entirely: cry, be alone, eat, sleep, whatever.

sunshine. if you can't get the real stuff, go to a fake place. seriously. you'd be surprised.

orgasms. as many as you can eek out. raises seratonin levels in the brain.

as someone who frequently battles gray days, these are all things i do.

i think it helps to try and push yourself to make and eat nourishing food - that can have a HUGE impact on how you're feeling. i agree with DYAP about the exercise too, except for the part where i never exercise. but i will dance around my house for an hour and it makes me feel much better.

sorry you're feeling blue ma!!!!

I went through a similar thing last year. Eating better and some exercise made it better, but the best thing was figuring out what was wrong (for me it was through therapy, which helped me even though I thought I had a high level of self-awareness) and taking steps to change my life. It's weird because when you're happy, eating better and getting exercise makes life even better.

I have a lot of these too... Eating better, getting lots of sleep, exercise. I always noticed that after rehearsal I am happy from the dancing. And after riding bike.

Other things - call someone who you know will make you happy to talk to. Reading a book that you love. Those are things that work for me.

after it is over i always want another one right away.

i'm so sorry to hear about your physical ailments.. you seem to have a good
sense of humor about it all.

you've also just gone through a big change -bought a place and you and b moved in together. while it was a little while ago, it's still change and that can be difficult to adjust to.

i ditto what everyone has been saying -- exercise works wonders. so does talking about things. for me what helps alot is to be alone, to recenter and ground myself. art. good friends.

take care of yourself. let me know if i can do anything...
