Sensory Dep Tanks .. what's your feel?

who really enjoys sensory deprivation tanks. He was telling
me all about them, sumising that new age hippy life meet Goth
punk rock appeal, given that a Goth woman owns these:

i almost did once when i lived in madison but then freaked out at the last minute. i didn't think i'd really like the idea of being in a small box. too claustrophobic. did you ever see the simpson's where homer was in one? that was kind of funny.

i had a bunch of friends in college who swore by the tanks. they would take trips into chicago just so they could treat themselves to some uh...sensory deprivation? ive never tried...but there are definitely many fans out there.

yea i think i'd freak out. no way could i be in a tiny box for that long. oh no.

speaking of... have you heard of the salt caves? that's another sensory depravation method. apparently there is a place in town. it's caves with walls made of salt. you go in there and sit in it for an hour. this also sounds creepy to me.

i love sensory deprivation, but i've never done the tanks. always have wanted to. i know people who LOVE them and those who HATE them. i'd go with you if you wanted.
