Coffee and Computers don't mix

Do not spill coffee on your laptop.  Ever.   Luckily, the place where I got it from did a spill clean up and put on a new keyboard (which was frazzled anywa) for $200.  Not bad.  I have a netbook but it's slower than snail snot and the screen is tiny and I haven't installed a video decoder to watch dvds ( Read more... )

Now THAT was an adventure! Poor Larry, I hope he wasn't hurt too badly.
Alas, I have no gps on my cell phone.

YOur new car sounds great. My Honda CRV is still runing just fine. I love that car.

Look at my next post for what I am doing this week.

My Fujitsu Lifebook has a spill-resistant keyboard. Haven't tested it yet though... :)

Yes it's certainly advisable to have a mobile/cell phone (with good coverage) with you when you do that kind of stuff, particularly in areas where you're not likely to encounter many people!

Btw, I don't think you've seen my big news yet? :)

Well let's see here. There are tricky parts of some trails that unless you are really really good, you could have a wonderful accident. And depending on you fall, you might either get up, die, or be pretty fucked up. Larry was pretty fucked up. Anyway, way more road riders die than mountain bikers because all we have to contend with is trail conditions, not traffic.

Holy Cow, what an adventure! I just got your message, KC, I was in L.A for a week, the family kept us trotting except for the day that they abandoned me, literally. I'll post more in my journal as the days go on. It's really good to see you, I've missed you.
