So, I'm hearing from a few folks that clickthrough link ads are once again back on LJ, specifically issues with something called I.share.this. This appears to be affecting even some paid accounts (and presumably, permanent accounts as well.)

One confirmed solution to this issue, if you're using Firefox, is to use the Adblock Plus extension

Wow, all the stuff I miss. I never see any ads from any website. I use a hosts file which works awesomely on IE8, yes, IE8 I love IE. ;)

The Russians sure messed-up the el-jay since they bought it.

Actually, compared to SixApart, they've been pretty tame so far.

same, discovered Hosts back in 2000 and been using one ever since

I use the hosts file, like albear... and also have a debian caching proxy set up to block some stuffz
