I am too young to worry about dying alone or never having a family, but I'm starting to. So many people I know IRL are married/have children and I just can't help thinking... shouldn't I be doing that stuff, too? I try to remind myself that I'm a student, I'm finishing my degree and getting a job and that's okay but I feel like a failure for being single. The last episode of Doctor Who did not help me feel better about myself.

There's a ship I adore in a fandom I love and until recently, I read and feedback every fic for it. Not anymore. Several weeks ago there's been a wank that highlighted to me how repetitive and predicable this ship is, especially when it comes to the d/s. The fandom is very active, producing up to 10 fics a day and yet, everyone write the same scenario. It's exhausting. I am not a writer, so all I can do is prompt - and no matter how many prompts get filled, not this one. It's always A the boss/Dom. Always. No exceptions. I can tell you the titles of all fics where B was on top, because there were about 10 of them. Is it fair on the writers to complain they dare to write what they want? No. That's why I'm anon for this.
