Hey y'all. I'm Elizabeth Vaughan from Illinois (Chicago, more specifically). You might remember me as a random Middle in CMPS (I was in Eyes of the Storm) who loved Iowa, Minnesota, and Singapore, and who was in the talent show (I played the violin for Lord of the Rings, piano for "Part of Your World", and I was in the Mario thing on an impulse... Our CmPS team [including me] were actually sitting in front of you guys during awards. XD We were "Quilting Our Community Together" from Ohio. :D

Congratulations. You guys got the Beyonder award, didn't you? And first in your category, maybe? Way to go!

Yeah, you're right. Thanks! I vaguely remember your presentation. I think I visited it during the fair. I love CmPS... but I don't think my coach is going to do it next year. And there's like one middle Individual CmPS team in the whole world. That's a bit strange.

I suck at FPS... so I probably won't see Colorado next year. *weep*

But yeah, congrats on getting to Internationals! Did you win anything? (Sorry, I totally forgot if you did!)

Heh, oops, kidding, you got an award! Sorry for that.

Did you do FPS?

-nod- We got 2nd in our category. Kind of my fault [grrr Powerpoint. I definitely had NO CLUE what they even wanted...] but oh well.

Yes, I did do FPS; My team made states, but we didn't place. I did it as an alternate at IC. I was very happy with that. I actually got a perfect 20 in criteria from one evaluation, and that's what I did, along with challenges, which we got an impressive 9 "yesses" in. [only 10 challenges/solutions in alternate packet] I also write scenarios, however, this year was a very unsuccessful year for that. I will pour my soul into next year's scenario, though. :D

Welcome and congratulations on the Beyonder award! We were commenting that in some ways, that's really the "more prestigious" one than Grand Champions -- it's more what FPS should be about. I'm really regretting not having visited your guys' booth besides more than a "hmm let's gloss by and skim it" -- someone else on my team was really impressed, though.

I'm from WI (on undeadgoat and icklefickle's team). Were you on our floor or something? (We had some vaguely confusing conversation about Ohio people from LJ and then people on our floor and whatnot)

I'm pretty sure I walked by as you were talking to them, because my teammate (person #4) was all "I think they're talking with someone from online" but when I came back out I'd missed you. :( Ah well.

I was waay up there on the bleachers. I was sitting by my team, but then I decided that my team was bad, so I sat by the Illinois team winners that didn't win anything (Kevin - dude who played Mario theme in talent show).
