Hey everyone! I'm Emily Dunbar, from Stratford, Ontario, Canada. I just got home from IC! It was so much fun! Everyone was so nice, it was a blast

The Fuzzy was about a kind of gaming in 2033 called "holo-gaming", which is kind of like virtual reality only cooler, I guess. So anyway, the games were praised because they improved math, literacy and physical test scores. But the thing was that the machines caused eye strain, and there was a chemical released by them to induce a euphoric-like state, that could cause liver damage.
So an act was passed so that all the holo-gaming parlors had to meet government regulations, or else the owners could be sentenced to a maximum of five years imprisonment. But 70% of the parolors stil couldn't comply, because they couldnt afford the safety upgrades.
So that was basically it, if anyone wants to add anything I missed, please do.
Yeah, we should definitely make the place prettier. I created the thing and started trying to get people in it first: there didn't seem like much of a point when there were like three members. Plus I was prepping for IC and the end of the year... come summer I should have more time and may enlist you. Post suggestions. Also, for anyone new to the community, a lot of discussion happens in the comments, so be sure to check there in addition to just reading the posts.
OMG I MET YOU! Are you the one with brown hair or glasses? *sort of bad at names* This is Eleanor from Wisconsin. I was the chicken and the cow in our skit. *makes "We beat the first place team in sectionals" noises* though I suppose that just shows how subjective that stuff is. You may remember, the first place middle team . . . anyhoo.
I went to the senior dance, actually, because the people I'd gotten to know well enough to tag along with/the people I could find after the talent show were mostly seniors, and my coach was just like whatever, they probably won't kick you out. By process of elimination, is Mitchell the one who played the government official? Also, if you happen to have pictures of your skit, would you mind sharing? I only have like one from finals, and it'd be spiff having more.
AAAH! I LOVES J00! Congrats x 11111111111111110000000000000000 for making FIRST PLACE! That's amazing. We got like 12th place, so close, grrr! I'm the one with glasses. The one with brown hair is Meaghan, the jumper was Curtis and yes, Mitchell was the government official. Darcy was the one I took the place of.
I think we have a few pictures of our skit, but they're not with me. I'll ask Curtis, because his dad was taking pictures.
I talked to Curtis after prelims, so I knew his name. It was kind of funny, we were walking back to the dorms and ran into him and Mitchell, I think, and we said "Congratulations!" and Curtis was like "Oh. So, who went to finals?" we hadn't realized they didn't know, so it was rather funny. And stuff.
Anyhoo, the library computer timed out as I was responding to your comment. So, continuing:
We were actually pretty surprised your team ended up not placing, because (1) we remembered you had a really good UP (we wrote down KVPs at skits) and (2) we've been at IC twice before, and every time the same team has won Middle skit and booklet. The first year it was these Australians who had this guy who could sing really really well, and they did the Aussie cheer (which I don't remember hearing this year) off the stage both times, and then last year it was these chicks from Paintsville, one of whom Thomas is still in contact with.
