Hello everyone! My friend ripped off a little slip thingy as a joke (she's always teasing me about LJ. Heh.) but I thought it'd be worth joining up. I like talking to people, anyway ( Read more... )

Wow, hello! I just got so, so excited when I saw your post. I'm all about Ohio FPS in its many forms, but especially you guys. ;) I'm Megan, from Vandalia-Butler. You probably know exactly who I am (I played hopscotch with you Friday night!), especially as I'm the token girl on my team, but if not, we won State and skits this year. Congratulations on your win at IC! My team and I were really excited when your names were called...and then we won third for team packet! Our goal was just to get into the top ten, so it was absolutely amazing.

I'm very interested by your project. I really think that I would have benefited by something like that at that time in my life. I don't know if I would be able to get something started in my district, but like I said, I'm definitley interested. My email address is meggieliz @ gmail.com.

This community is wonderful! I hope you don't mind that I've friended you? When I came home and looked through my emails, I was lamenting the fact that I didn't get any from your team.

!!!!! I've friended you and everything, as you know, because wow for it's a small world thing. And to think, Thishi (she's the hopscotch foreigner with the short hair. As horribly awful as that sounds, it's a good way to describe her, I suppose.) was all, "Heh. An LJ community. Here you go you stupid-head with your stupid journal." Look what she's missing ( ... )

Hopscotch is amazing, I wish I had been around for more! I am all about the pre-school games. Duck Duck Goose can become surprisingly competitive with grown-ups. I liked all the chalk drawings/messages, especially the ones over by Blanding Tower. I went all "eeee!" and wanted to take a picture when I first saw them, but alas, I didn't have my camera. And yeah, your description was sucessful. I know exactly who you're talking about!

And thank you!! I'm still kinda flabbergasted (bonus points for bizarre word choice). We should totally plan on being the top two teams at State next year, so we can party it up in Colorado. I wanna go KAYAKING!

I don't remember giving my email to anyone at State, and I don't remember getting anyone's...but that could just be me. That awards ceremony was more than a little disorienting, too.

Hopscotch, weeeeeeeee. Duck, Duck, Goose. Also weeeeeeeeee. I really am five, I think.

Also a weeeeeeee for totally politically incorrect descriptions!

You guys winning everything at States was awesome; we were jealous. ;) Dr. Suess vs. Shakespeare: the age old debate rages on. Being the top two next year would be awesome, since Colorado would be as well and also because I'll be able to convince everyone that you really do like us. And we could have friends!

I can imagine that being disorienting. I know someone from my team said they gave someone on yours the project address, but who knows what really happened. If you want something done, you've got to do it yourself!

*waves* Heya! Another New Zealander here - one who's team just missed out on IC. Your project sounds really great!

Thank you!!

[waves back] Hooray for New Zealanders! ;) I do have to say, quite silly-like, that I'm a fan of your country as a whole.

I'm sorry you missed out out IC this year. Good luck next year! It's such a great thing; it depresses me thinking about how many people don't get to go.
