Hi, I am lowfatsourcreme from Wisconsin - two of the people on my team are (I think) in charge of this board, or were at least highly publicizing it at IC. I figured that since there's no FPS community on Spymac, where I hang out mostly, I would come here and just see what it was.

Howdy from South Texas! I also saw the LJ and Xanga notices at IC. I have been an IC chaperone for four years, and I also evaluate booklets for my state. At one point I even coached seniors until they could locate a teacher. My own children have been doing FPS for the last seven years, just scenario for the last three. We can't seem to keep teams going at the senior level.

thats a big problem in az too.
we have a lot of jr teams, less middle teams and this year we had only one senior team.

Getting high school kids together for practice is like trying to herd cats! Everyone is just so busy--I am always amazed at how many activities you kids can juggle, along with your classwork.

This year our state bowl conflicted with academic regional competitions which didn't help. Most TX FPSers I've encountered also do UIL academics.

I've heard several coaches say that they meet with kids on Sunday evenings because it is the only time available.

yeah, for just the four of us, it's been hard to schedule. i can't imagine trying to organize a club of multiple teams.

plus, with being in high school, we get to come back and take finals right after ic! fun fun fun!

Reuben (lowfatsourcreme) was Old McGreedy/safety. The bat/eagle would not imagine going on a message board and would probably kill us if he realized that we talk about him here (Thomas is kind of weird). Yes Reuben, I created the community and Eleanor made the signs...

This is for fun communication between FPSers and already on LJ which I use. It is not intended for communication between team members which I would hate to have on a message board. The point is that more than four people are in this community.
