Everyone else has done some form of a wrap up for 2008, I figure I might as well hop on.
1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
First few things I can think of off the top of my head are learning how to spin a flag, marching a drum corps, learning how to play a brass instrument, starting and joining a fraternity (and getting into Greek life as a whole), had a long distance relationship
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I honestly don't remember if I made a resolution, but I'm not too keen on making them on the off-chance I don't keep them.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No, but one of my friends is pregnant and is due in March.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
I still haven't been out of the country ;>>
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
Both a good fall and spring semester.
7. What date(s) from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory?
There's Cage, DCI, Allentown, and initiation into Delta Chi.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Pushing myself this summer on tour.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Academics. Again.
10. Did you suffer any illness or injury?
Nothing besides getting hit by flags (Cage and DCI) and bus legs/feet.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
I spent a lot of money on tour and for DChi, but it never felt like I 'bought' anything.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Everyone I marched with, spring summer and fall. But huge props to the four other badasses I shared scaffolding duty with. My parents for supporting me so much. And anyone else that helped me this year.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
My own, the whole self-sabotaging stuff. And people on the internet, but that's just people on the internet.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Tour. Tour tour tour tour. And Delta Chi
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Tour. Tour tour tour tour. And Delta Chi. Also there was a lot during tour like seeing people from school/other corps/my family performing in front of thousands of people.
16. What song(s) will always remind you of 2008?

i. happier or sadder? Happier
ii. thinner or fatter? I'll say more in shape.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Practicing, appreciating things I had/have

Being stupid, spending money
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I was sick on Christmas
22. Did you fall in love in 2008?
It's a complicated issue.

None.
24. What was your favorite TV program?
Probably Metalocalypse and all of the Adult Swim I watched with both my roommates.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No, it really takes a lot for me to hate anyone.
26. What was the best book you read?
The only book I read for pleasure was Lords and Ladies by Terry Pratchett. So good.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery? Between the Buried and Me. Though I have to be in a certain mood to really appreciate them.
28. What did you want and get?
A DCI tour.
29. What did you want and not get?
For things to be more simple.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
If it's one that came out this year, probably The Dark Knight, which I watched last night. Other than that it's a tie between Pulp Fiction and Fight Club. (Yes, I was that guy and hadn't seen them until this summer)
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I think I just worked and slept. I turned 20.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Having things more figured out.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
During school: 'comfortable' jeans, hoodies, tight pants.
This summer: Almost nothing. Thanks drum corps.
34. What kept you sane?
Friends, music, marching.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I don't get into celebrities.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Besides the election, gay marriage.
37. Who did you miss?
Lots of people, everyone who I wasn't touring with, then everyone I toured with after it was over.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Honestly, it was Virginia who I was next to in horn arc.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008:
It won't kill you to push that extra few inches.
