You should both go to www.retaileyes.co.uk and sign up, just now they are paying £12 plus expenses for people to go and have their eyes tested in Arbroath (near Dundee) and Ha! Wick (in the borders) which are both too far away from me to go and do.

Wait a minute...why are they paying for something that is free? Is it a bizarre promotion or something? I'm not sure £12 is enough to tempt me to visit Arbroath or Wick...

They test the eyes in a lab in South-East Asia, and return them by post 4-6 weeks later.

Retaileyes is a mystery shopping site, they pay people to go to shops and spy on the staff, then fill in a form saying they were nice/rude to you etc. However, Arbroath is 100 miles away from Glasgow, but a short jaunt from Dundee, so you should do it instead.
