Here is a list of the materia that any player can choose from and the level of power that a character gets with this materia. Those characters that do not yet have materia may take a look at the list as well and make choices of what kind of materia that they would like to acquire during game play.

You will all notice that there is no 'Revive' on this list of materia, so don't bother to ask for it. If you plan on dying, I'm not going to stop your fun. Seriously, if Cloud couldn't cast it on Aerith upon impalement, none of you are getting it. It won't make sense to the game.

Level III spells are considered mastered at such a point because if you have the last spell, why wouldn't you have mastered the entire materia? Those rare materia with 4 levels just work in the same way and we have simply combined some spells so a person would get two instead of one for the normal mastered materia thing.
