Aww I am so sorry about Sunny. We can only hope that this church is only a novelty and passing thing. I hate when religion is so narrow minded. There are many churches out there that are much more "updated" on the ways of the world! Why can't they all be!!

I think waiting for him to contact you is the wisest course of action at this point. If he values your friendship he'll clue in that something's wrong and he might even be open-minded enough to let you tell him that his comment really hurt you.
