When I was little- I used to put myself in these hypothetical daydreams. Most of them were pretty gruesome. Like, if I dont make it to the end of the street in 30 seconds (riding my bike)- my Mom will die. I guess I thought I had visions or something. I was always flipping coins and avoiding cracks in the sidewalk. I would get myself so worked up ( Read more... )

I do the same things sometimes.
I find I do them more when I'm really stressed out. You might want to try taking long slow walks or reading or meditation or whatever chills you out and eases your mind.

The problem is- I'm bringing all this baggage into my real life.
I'm starting to think maybe I have an anxiety disorder.

Yeah. Uh, I'm feeling exactly the same way right now. Except...not :) I just decided to try to kill it with some drugs; i made an appt with a psychologist for thursday ;)

I think everyone is paranoid to a point, but that seems a little over the top. I would go talk to a doctor, but don't get even more paranoid and jump to the "I'm crazy!" conclusion. You're fine....just take a deep breath...and run for it!

I think I'm at a point that I would go see a doctor, had I any insurance. In the meantime- I'll try to hold off on getting my CCW. hehe.

That's really strange. I've done the same thing for about the past 8 or so years, I've never heard of anyone else doing the same thing.
And I never wanted to bring it out into the open for fear of something bad happening. Plus I have dreams of grinding my teeth out, and I never wake up before I hit the ground in dreams, I always hit the ground then it fades to black and either I'll wake up or it will roll over into a another dream having nothing to do with dying, it's scary.
I never thought it might be anxiety, I'm gonna look into it.
