He had remained quiet up into this point, silently observing the newcomers in the room. They seemed to know each other and, despite the redhead's odd looks, were relatively harmless looking. They seemed to have gotten here like he did, going by Alice's words.
He frowned, puffing his cigarette quietly. "Wonderland? Like the story?" He raised a brow at this, furrowing his brows, at least it made her name make more sense. This was either a really elaborate prank, or true. Either way he was glad they'd taken him in mission gear. "And Wonderland itself brought us here? Because it needs help. Doing what? Gardening?"
Grell simply cocked his head to the side as the girl looked him over, quirking a brow in response but nothing else. This, of course, prompted him to do the same - and glance again at that man before the fireplace. Who was he? He had finally spoken, and his words only proved to be more confusing.
"Story?" Was he referring to a book written by a mortal author, or some folktale in circulation? Either way, he shook it off to continue questioning Alice as well.
"I know we're in Wonderland, dear, but where is it exactly? It seems like neither heaven nor hell, and it certainly is not like the mortal world. Is there any explanation as to why it is in need of help?" With an open hand, he pressed his fingertips to his chest. "And if you would like to call that form of trickery with the little rabbit a calling, I suppose I'd then like to ask why it called us - as this man here has asked?" He then gestured to the other.
Sebastian listened to the others banter, his eyes focusing on who was talking when they continued their attempts to assess the situation.
But the biggest question was yet to be asked, one of which would benefit them the most.
"Despite what Wonderland is and what it's supreme ruler or whatever may be controlling it needs, what if we were to refuse?" Sebastian pulled his arm away, walking to Alice. He gave her a quite neutral stare, showing he had no intent in bringing her any harm. "We all lead lives with responsibilities and have other matters to focus on. Why is it that we should drop everything for a place we had yet to hear of before we were physically dragged into it?"
"I am only a butler." He said as slightly adjusted his stance. "There is not much I can do to help the situation and my master much be growing restless without me there to tend to him."
Alice gave a quiet nod, a small bemused smile crossing her face. "You are more than welcome to refuse, my good sir. But that does not mean that Wonderland will let you leave. I, myself, was brought here as a young girl. What was I to do
( ... )
Sebastian took them, noting the books were rather aged.
"Turn itself?" He said softly, opening the book, flipping through the pages. "To find this Sheogorath, what do we need to do?" He said, still looking through the numerous pages.
"I suppose if I do want to return to the Phantomhive estate, I have to get this task taken care of."
Grell approached behind Sebastian, standing on tip-toe and pressing himself against the other's back to catch a glimpse at what was given to him.
"Strange... What sort of inhabitants are we speaking of? Monsters?" His mind began to manifest of sorts of imagery on the matter. Pretending to shudder in his pretty heeled boots, he clung to the butler's back, face hidden at the nape of his neck, smile concealed. "How scary!"

Was this as ludicrous to anyone else?
