There was absolutely no way Brooke Davis was going to pass up this opportunity. No way She watched the handsome and very understated Will pig out on a platter of food and the endless amounts of alcohol oh so generously provided. Politely stepping away from the drunk gentleman who had desperately been trying to get her to dance, she adjusted her dress and sauntered up to the young man.

"Any marriage proposals yet? I thought I saw that old red-head in the corner giving you quite an eye."

Startled, he turned his head and instantly beamed. "Well if it isn't little Ms. Grey herself. You look smashing you know, and as for the red head in the corner -- I've got her marked down for mdnight. She gets 15 minutes. I think that's fair don't you?"

With a wink, he saluted her with his champagne glass and took another generous swallow. "How long should I put you down for?"

Brooke was all to willing to shoot him a short glare at the Grey comment, and resisted the urge to finger a piece of hair, just in case. Instead, she put a hand to her dress and smiled. "I know," she beamed.

Taking a sip of the champagne that was getting more and delicious as the evening progressed, she nodded. "I'm sure she'll be grateful for it. As for me? You'll be lucky if I even sign up, handsome."

"No, Brooke, I believe you'd be the lucky one," he pointed out, grinning as he finished his champagne.

"But that's okay. I forgive you for not realizing that." He took another glass from a server, and really, what number was this by now?, and enjoyed the expensive drink. He'd forgotten how much fun it was to live the high life.

"Well well, why am I not surprised you got dragged out here too, SP?" Claire smiles as she appears at his side, her head tilted a little as she looked over the party. She was dressed in a long white Grecian gown that she had bought a couple weeks before. Her hair was partially pinned back, the curls seeming looser and bigger as she pulled some of them over her shoulder.

She wasn't sure how long she was going to stay but she was going around, saying hello to people. That included him. So she gives him a little half smile, "Long time, no see."

"What, that's it?" He leaned over and dwarfed the younger woman in a tight hug. "Come on Pout," he responded, with a little shake of her arms, "you can do better than that. You need to tell me how you've missed me, realized you couldn't live without me and had to marry another man just to get over me. Now THAT's how you start a conversation."

"Also? You're a hot piece of ass. Just thought I'd get that out of the way."

Claire couldn't help the laugh as she wrapped her arms around him to give him a tight hug in return. "Sorry, sorry. How thoughtless of me." She leans back with an impish smirk on her lips, "How about I missed you, I can't live without you and I think we should steal one of Tony's planes to run away together? I mean, as long as you know how to dodge a Japanese man and a sword." She smirks a little more.

"Thank you, you're looking pretty good yourself." She hugs him again with a chuckle, shaking her head.

He thought for a moment. "Seems like a tricky situation, but if anyone can do it, I can. Think we could distract him with our sheer awesomeness? He could realize that it's a lost cause." Wry grin on his face though, he let go of her hug and just threw an arm over her shoulder.

"Seriously. You're not pouting tonight. I'll have to give you a new name. Or not. Pout's pretty cute."

It wasn't often that Devon's attention moved to someone he didn't quite know. He wasn't one to ogle or stare in that way. But he found the man who wasn't quite dressed to the nines intriguing - and yes, attractive.

Part of him recognized Will but he couldn't pinpoint from where.

"Hey," he said, walking up to his side. "Do you work at SI?"

Who was this little peon talking to him? He had never seen the guy befoer and had no clue who he was. Although he did mention SI....though everyone else mentioned SI too.

"No," he responded, switching his empty glass for a new one. "I don't work for Starky." A pause. " I do have joint custody of his jet though. Does that count?"

"I'm not sure," Devon replied. "Are you a boss I don't know I have?" he asked. "I'm Devon, by the way. And you just looked familiar."

Oh he could have fun with this.

"I am a boss. Absolutely am . You haven't met me because I've been on secret playboy training. Something only CEOs get to go on." He tossed him a lazy grin. "When you're done being a lowly peon, you'll maybe get to experience it. Maybe. It involves models and Greek islands."

Sally had been kissed under the mistletoe five times so far. FIVE TIMES. She was enjoying herself entirely too much, though she still wasn't taking Pepper up on her offer of a room. No no no. Just good old fashioned flirting and making out. Harmless fun.

She laughed as she made her way through the crowd and bumped into the casually dressed man. Wait? Was that...

"Will?"

"Absolutely is," he said, lopsided grin on his face.

He hadn't seen Sally in ages, hadn't TALKED to her in that long. After Pepsi's lecture about going after someone younger than him (by a lot) he'd been trying to behave and not cause so many problems for his best friend.

The whole situation had helped him grow up.

Although at the same time, he probably never would. Giving her a wink, he offered a glass of champagne. "Drink up, it's free."

Sally wrinkled her nose. "Nuh uh, no alcohol for me. I'm so sticking with the like non-alcoholic stuff. But you go ahead and have at it."

She smoothed down her dress (what there was of it) and grinned. "How ARE you?"

She really wanted to know. She hoped he was well.

He gave a lazy shrug. Like he was going to get into all those details.

"I'm good. Busy. Doing my work thing, my Will thing, you know how it is. Everyone wants me, so really, how can I complain?" He flashed her a smile. "Plus, I managed to convince Tony to give me custody rights of his jet a few months ago. Now I'm living the high life." Taking a swig, he grinned.

"How about you little miss jet setter. Hear you did the European tour. Did you enjoy learning how not to bathe and shave?"

Alice had no idea why she was here. Even her mock husband wasn't worth this shit but she had dressed up for the occassion. It wasn't white but it was as close as someone that wasn't worth a billion dollars could do.

Luckily for her Will looked like his picture. Sidling up next to him, she looked out over the party and not at him.

"You forgot to chain me to the stove, husband dear. Sorry but I've escaped. Hope you don't mind starving and blowing yourself."

He looked over, surprised. He didn't think he'd see her here -- actually, didn't know he'd ever see her again, but hey, why not roll with it?

Tossing an arm over her shoulder, he grinned, not looking at her either. "You know wifey, if I could blow myself, I really wouldn't need you around." A thought. "Although I still want to see you cook in the nude. That's a requirement. No bacon."

Softly, he added, "I'm glad you made it. Didn't think you'd come....at least, not without my direct involvement you know."

Her hand came to rest against his back, casual yet aggressive for a man that she didn't really know. "Trust me, I'm better than you ever could be. Unless there's a side of you that thinks I'm a man and you're into that."

Glancing down, Alice rolled her eyes. "I almost just wore jeans. I look ridiculous. You on the other hand look almost charming."

This was officially surreal. But why dwell on it? He'd just roll with it instead.

"You look hot. Which is good because if you were ugly, I'd have to revoke my proposal. Oh, and before we get married, I just need you to know there's a weight limit and such. So as long as you still look as fantastic as you do now -- seriously, nice ass -- then it's all gravy."
