Bother [Ryo x Maki] g
Maki huffed when a warm pressure was on her shoulder. She looked away from her script and glared at Ryo who was resting his head on her. “You‘re reading the script over me. It’s annoying,” she swatted him lightly with the papers and he sat up with a scowl. “Don’t you have anything you should be doing?”
He looked at the ceiling thoughtfully. “I made fun of Jin’s weight. I laughed at Yamapi playing the guitar. I teased Toma about his facial hair. One more thing and I’m done.”
“What’s that?”
He drew his face close to hers. “Bother you.”
Tie [Toma x Jin] pg-13 just for assumptions
“Let me get this straight. What you‘re telling me is that you don‘t own any ties?”
“Exactly. This restaurant is formal and-”
“But I‘ve seen you wear ties before Toma.”
“They were Yamapi‘s.”
“Then why aren‘t you asking him for a tie?”
“He‘s not home Jin. Listen, just untie one from your bedpost and let me use it.”
“Bedpost? What are you- PERVERT! What makes you think I use ties that way?”
“True. You’re not that creative. Can I come pick one up?”
“Sure. Come over and you can try one on.”
“I didn‘t like the way you said that…”
Hotel [Maru x Jin] g
Jin hated sharing a room with Junno when his group was split in hotels. Jin didn’t like how Junno played his DS late into the night. Even though it was mute and there was enough light produced to annoy Jin. He disliked how Junno would mess with the thermostat, even though he would always have the final decision over it. He hated Junno’s trips to the bathroom late at night despite the fact that he was practically noiseless. But what Jin disliked the most about sharing a room with Junno was the fact that Maru wasn’t there. But with him.
Just.... random
Distractions g [Toma/Maru]
Toma is hungry, Maru needs to study. Not as epic as it should be coming from me. They're like, my 2 favorite. =(
Maru was able to tune out most of the background drones when he studied in the dressing room. He was used to Kame reading his script aloud, Jin gossiping on the phone, Junno’s Nintendo, Koki rapping in the mirror and Ueda strumming his guitar. He figured it was because he was just more comfortable in that setting. But now he cringed every time he heard fingers drumming against the table across from him coming from the bored Ikuta Toma.
Maru didn’t understand what Toma was doing there. It wasn’t that he was uncomfortable with the other. He was used to Toma’s random visits to bother Jin when Yamapi was too busy. Toma even came to his apartment a couple times when they practiced for the big New Year show. But the two were never alone.
“Yu-ich-i,” Toma drew out in a tone that Maru knew he used annoy others.
“Yes?” he replied endearingly. There was still so much to look over. But there was no way he would be able to do anything with the other around.
“I’m hungry. Take a break and let’s go out to eat,” Toma smirked and the other almost glared. Toma was annoying him like this on purpose. Maru knew that he was like that. He was used to hearing complaints from Jin on how Toma picked on him and Yamapi.
“Jin’s not here yet?” Save me Jin. Maru almost laughed at the thought.
“Jin’s not coming. I’m hungry. Or I can just wait until you’re done…” He drummed his nails once more.
“Where to?”
Creeps pg [Subaru/KAT-TUN (Maru just a bit more, but I'm so biased)]
Subaru was bored.
Subaru didn’t know what caused him to do this. He figured he got some sick joy out of creeping people out and his own group was just getting used to it. He needed new reactions to his antics. He needed a new group to bother. And Ryo already warned NEWS about him. So he decided to go after KAT-TUN. He even had a plan: Give KAT-TUN the creeps by staring at them. The things boredom can do to a man.
He walked into their empty dressing room and made himself comfortable on their couch. Instead of looking around the room and trying to note some of the differences between his own, he set his sight right at the door in front of him, waiting for the first victim.
Ueda walked inside, his arms filled with sheets of music and a bottle of water. His eyes widened slightly at the sight of Subaru. “Oh. Hello there Subaru,” he nodded slightly at the Kanjani8 member.
Subaru said nothing. Only stared.
Ueda put his papers on top of the table and crossed his arms. He immediately knew something was up. “Did that dwarf put you up to this?” Silence. “I’m going to beat him,” the guitarist stormed out of the room.
Kame and Koki walked into the room, laughing at a joke that Koki must have told. Subaru didn’t hang out with Kame often, but enough to know that Koki was funnier. Especially after Yassu constantly gushing about how funny his KAT-TUN friend was.
“Hey Subaru!” Koki waved and Kame nodded slightly.
Subaru blinked once, but kept his gaze on the two.
Koki obviously knew something was going on. “Bye Subaru!” He walked out of the room, their youngest member right behind him.
Jin walked into the dressing room with a giant grin on his face. It became even bigger when he saw Subaru waiting on the couch.
“Subaru! What are you doing here?”
“…”
Jin tilted his head. “Are you mad at me or something?”
He was answered by silence.
“Is it because I used the rest of your shampoo?”
Nothing.
“Is it because I spilled that Diet Coke in your back seat?”
That was him? Subaru wanted to say something but after seeing Jin’s panicking expression he kept his mouth closed.
“What is it?! Is it because I still have your Nintendo controller? Is it because I never gave you back your straightener? Is it because I never helped you move into your new apartment? What did I do?!” Jin was all but pulling his hair and kneeling in front of Subaru, begging.
Subaru just kept staring, making a mental checklist in his head of what he was confessing to.
The door slowly crept open and Junno’s head peaked in. He saw that Subaru was there and their gazes met. The acrobat smiled politely and backed away from the door.
Jin left the room several minutes afterwards. Well, he had to be pulled away by Yamapi because he became a sobbing mess.
One more left, Subaru nodded to himself. The door creaked open and Maru came in, with a stack of schoolbooks filling his arms and he tried to balance a cup of tea on top of them.
“Hi!” he said cheerfully, although he was obviously confused about the other’s presence.
The other just looked on.
“Man, I should probably hide my books again. You wouldn’t believe the creative ways Jin uses them for that doesn’t involve reading,” Maru continued, trying to set the pile on the couch beside Subaru.
His cup ended up tipping over. Right into Subaru’s lap.
“Ah! That’s hot! Damn it!”
“Sorry! Sorry! Let me help you clean that up!” Maru began to run around the room, searching for something to wipe off Subaru’s lap. He settled on Junno’s tank top and tossed it to him.
“What are you doing here?” Maru asked while Subaru began to clean himself off.
“Nothing.”
“What?”
“I’m bored,” Subaru put it simply. “I wanted to bother you guys.”
Maru nodded slowly like he understood what was going on. He knew better than to try to understand the Kanjani8 member.
Subaru threw the shirt aside and scratched his chin lightly. He was deep in his thoughts and Maru watched him patiently, occasionally eyeing his books. “I got it!” Subaru’s face lit up. He quickly stood up and wrapped his arms around the beatboxer.
“What are you doing?” Maru squeaked.
“I’m going to hug you until I feel you’re creeped out,” Subaru continued, nuzzling his cheek against Maru’s sleeve. Maru was warm and that made the other very comfortable.
“I’m creeped out!” Maru managed to stammer.
“Okay. Until my arms get tired then.”
“But I’m creeped out!”
One Spot pg [Jun/Toma +Shun]
There was only one spot in Shun's heart.
Jun was glad that they decided to go to his apartment to hang out, because the way Toma was going on and ranting, he was sure that they would have gotten some odd looks. Toma hastily took a sip of his drink and all but slammed it down on the table. Jun almost winced at the idea of having to clean up broken glass.
“So he thinks that now that he has a girlfriend he can totally ignore me, you know what I’m saying?”
Jun nodded slowly, he knew better than to disagree with a drunken Toma. The arguing would never cease.
“Shun and I spent so much time together on set and now that the two of them worked together-” he took a gulp of the alcohol and winced. “He keeps canceling plans. He doesn’t return my phone calls as often.”
Jun could only raise an eyebrow. Could Toma understand how his complaints cut right into Jun because he too was familiar with them? Jun and Shun were close too. They celebrated birthdays together and hung out. Until Shun got the lead in Hana Kimi. It was all a cycle. Shun only allowed one person into his heart at a time and so many fought to get in. It was unfair to keep him for so long. It was ironic that Toma chose Jun out of all people to complain to.
“It’s like... Pi all over again,” Toma frowned into his drink. “I’m a good person. I’m a great friend. Why am I not good enough to keep around?”
“They both know in the end, you’ll be willing to come back,” Jun offered, a bit surprised that he had the answer ready so quickly. Then again, it’s not like he completely forgot about Toma after their brief time working together. He observed the other during events or listened in whenever Toma’s name was mentioned in the gossip around the dressing rooms. He honestly cared for this man and didn’t want him to get hurt anymore, but knew that he wasn’t close enough himself to do anything about it.
“That might be true. I wish I could be more like you. Guarded enough to be friendly but not get hurt.”
“Just keep doing what you’re doing. There’s going to be someone out there who will keep a goof like you around,” Jun waved his hand and tried to smile.
A tiniest part of Jun wanted to take up that position. Having Toma close would not be a bad thing. It might actually work out. Maybe they would both be a lot happier that way. But another part of him said that maybe he would do the same as the others. Especially if Shun ever offers him his spot back.
The one where Maki messes with Jin's phone pg [Maru/Maki]
I wrote this one after hearing about the Mars rumors. Although those don't look so true anymore.
“Maru’s here!” Jin cried, jumping out of his make up chair and earning a glare from his hairdresser as he pulled his older friend into a hug. “Did you bring me anything? I’m starving.”
“You invited me here so we could get lunch together,” Maru reminded him, squirming in his hold. “You said you were paying too, remember?”
“I would never say anything like that,” the younger man pushed the other away, rubbing his own stomach affectionately.
“That was odd. So you didn’t call?”
Jin shook his head.
“That’s weird. So… um… when do you start shooting?” Maru averted his eyes.
“What you’re really trying to ask me is when do we get to see Maki,” Jin waggled his eyebrows.
Maru stared hard at the ground. He must not let Jin see his embarrassment.
“You know, I get to kiss her. In a bed,” Jin leered at his friend.
“Really? On the mouth? With clothes on?” the beatboxer’s eyebrows rose comically high. Jin reminded himself to tease him about that too.
“What do you think?”
“You’re really going to be naked?”
“No.” Maru sighed inwardly. “But I’ve been talking to the writers about that.”
“It’ll never happen,” a soft voice replied and the two turned towards the doorway to see Maki standing before them, leaning against the frame with her arms crossed. Maru completed a mental checklist in his head: Mouth closed? Check. Not staring? Check. Breathing? He forced himself to inhale deeply. Check. “I already discussed the bed scene with the director and there will be a lot of clothes involved. Hi Nakamaru-kun.”
“Hi,” Maru responded. He wanted to add more, but it felt like his throat was constricting.
“Hi Maki,” Jin chirped happily, enjoying his band mate’s shyness. “Maybe we should kiss to promote our show. Imagine the press,” he offered.
Maru gaped at his younger friend.
“We are not going to ki-”
She was interrupted by a cheerful and familiar ringtone that could only be Jin’s. “My mother’s calling,” Jin replied looking at his phone in fear and biting his bottom lip slightly.
“Then answer it,” Maru rolled his eyes.
Jin’s eyes darted to Maki then back to his phone. He began to bounce nervously where he was standing and nodded at the ringing phone. “I’m taking this outside. Don’t move!” He darted out of the room and began to apologize profusely to his mother in the hallway.
“Let’s get out of here. He’s been threatening to kiss me all week,” Maki’s voice was in a serious tone and she looked up at Maru expectantly.
How could he deny those pleading eyes? “Where do you want to go?”
Maki grinned as the two walked out of the room. Jin should leave his phone out in the open more often.
Written Conversation g [Kame/Maki]
Maki and Kame converse after her appearance on cKT.
What did you think of our show?
Maki smiled at the text message. Hardworking Kame. Hardworking Kame who always thought there was room for perfection.
It was fun. You guys are hilarious.
Kame grinned. She texted him back. And even though the message was short, it was also friendly enough for him to continue.
You should definitely come back sometime. I really enjoyed talking to you once more.
Maki bit her lip slightly to cover up her excitement. She fondly remembered their conversations on the Nobuta set. He took her under his wing even despite all the work of his own. She never felt so comfortable on set before.
I highly doubt I should have three appearances on the show. Then I might as well become a regular.
Kama chuckled at the text. Then considered having her on the set with him. He thought of his band mates and how they would relentlessly flirt with her and shook off the idea. He didn’t like the idea of that happening again, remembering the anger bubbling during her time with them before.
Then perhaps we can just meet elsewhere. Let’s say coffee tomorrow?
Maki’s jaw dropped when she saw the message. It wasn’t a date, she had to remind herself. Just a conversation between friends over coffee.
That sounds good to me.
Kame threw his fist in the air in victory. Now to find some flowers. For friendship of course.
Boundaries Blurred g [Koyama x Erika]
Yamapi kept the music and acting separate. But he was the only one.
Yamapi hears the rumors circulating his set. He never partakes in any of the gossip but he hears things. He hears about the constant giggling in her dressing room. The colorful flowers left in front of her door. Their secret meetings at the roof of the set. But he didn’t think anything about it. Koyama was harmless, he wouldn’t dare flirt or try to date one of Yamapi’s costars. Erika Toda on top of it too. No, that was something Jin or Ryo would do. Well, it’s something they already did. He was unable to look at Maki or Masami without groaning now.
But during rehearsal when he noticed a certain chain on his band mate's cell phone that looked identical to a certain costar’s Yamapi couldn’t help but collapse onto the ground. He wasn’t even able to respond to the frantic oldest member while Ryo snickered in the background.
“When’s it going to be my turn to date one of Yamapi’s costars?” Tegoshi piped up innocently.
