I know I havn't changed. All of this effected me very little over the past year. And yes I am sad for those that lost loved ones, but I can't force myself to feel effected. And you do have a point. This country (and the world for that matter) has a tendency to focus on the negative and the gruesome. I have a problem with the way this day has been exploited. The concert for New York was a step in the right direction, but that hardly makes up for the millions of steps in the wrong direction. Today should be a day of quiet remembrance. Today should be a day mourning for those that lost loved ones. And today should be a day of celebration for the entire country because last year, on this day, we regained our strength. Maybe my views are completely fucked up....but for every tragedy, there is a miracle. And I find that a reason to celebrate. My heart goes out to all those who are grieving. But I think it was said best this morning by Nat. "Happy 9-11" It may seem disrespectful...but if you think about it. There are reasons

Why should anyone force themselves to mourn? What do you have to mourn for. I really think America should take this day back. We shouldn't give it to them. It's not theirs. Screw them. It's our day. We should take it back with happiness that we still live and that this world isn't as cruel as it may seem. We should be happy that we're moving on. We should be happy that we had those people in our lives for the time that we did

YOu know...that commecial is the right way to go about it. But it still sucks that the media is making it so completely public. Anyway...Sorry about the typo. In all honesty....I don't know how to spell the word in question. *sigh* I guess I should go sulk now.....*hangs head in shame*
I'm a little tired of the 9/11 hype myself, so I won't comment. I will, however, say that Sorority Life makes me feel *better* about my fraternity. ( there's a difference ^_^ ) Also, read the credits on the show... there's a "head writer." It's not a "real" sorority - and certainly not a real women's fraternity. It's got head writers, for God's sake, LOL Anyway, that's my rant for the day...
