[Clink. The sound of teeth struggling to clamp down - and through - the communicator is audible moments after the video goes dark.]

[A sound not unlike a growl resonates from the being's throat as the jaws continue their attempt to crush the device in a vice-like grip. And then it happened. Something cracked, chipped... and spoke.]

Rrawh!

[Light and color swirled together as the gadget soared towards the ground a few yards away and landed haphazardly against a rock. The video angled slightly upward, but the viridian crown, half covered by a pink night cap, was still captured on screen. Crazed anger and a hint of surprise were plastered over what might normally be considered rather elegant beauty, but not now.

She didn't speak. Raising a hand to her jaw, she gingerly felt around where her tooth had splintered trying to bite the...thing. Deep, piercing crimson eyes stared intently at the flung away object, daring it to speak again.]
