Let the rain fall on me (Lady Jane Felsham/Lord Alexander Felsham, Lovejoy/Lady Jane)

For lavenderteawit, who needs to stop having her life imitate fanfic. Just a little something, and not happy or smutty. Happy just isn't my forte, and you're younger than my kids, so I can't just write smut in your honor (so consider this a strong T). But at least there's no one getting physically hurt. I have to say that I'm truly astonished by the amount of ( Read more... )

*snicker* Why does that conversation seem familiar? Hehe.

No idea what fandom this is, but it was a pleasure to read. :)

I'm not writing any A/R smut for you, either, young lady! Now, if you promised to show it to your mom....

The fandom for this story is Lovejoy, a British TV series which ran for 6 series from 1986 & 1991-1994. Lovejoy (Ian McShane) was a somewhat less than angelic East Anglican antiques divvy. Lady Jane Felsham (Phyllis Logan, aka Elsie Hughes from Downton Abbey) was his sometimes business partner & nearly-love-interest. All the episodes are up on You Tube.

*snort* Can you imagine?

Me: "Mom! Look! A woman who I have made friends with online wrote a piece-o-porn for me! No, I have no idea who she is in RL. No, she and I have never spoken face to face. Yes, she is your age. But don't worry - it's not like it's weird or anything! I write porn with strangers on the internet all the time!" <-- I dare you to have that conversation with your own kiddies and not freak out. :P Hehe.

Lovejoy sounds really interesting, perhaps when I'm done with this year at school, and have time to pick up another fandom, I'll give it a go. :)

OMG. Never. My kids don't even know what Rule 34 is.

You're not abandoning your loyal BSG girls, are you?

How old is your oldest kid? Trying to figure out the exact qualifications for a smut request here. Do I pass at 27? I discovered my first wrinkles this summer -- that's got to count for something.

Never! But Caprican Times is being obnoxious, so rather than force it I'm diverting my conscious brain by ficcing other fandoms.

I'm not that old. At 27 you're several years older than my oldest child. But I have passed the age of having any teenagers around.

I'm the same age as defyingnormalcy's mom. Bill fandom must be a product of our age.

ooooh, new fandom! =D
i'm almost done with DA so i can read the new ff and you just introduced another fandom! i can't even.
and it's a rather sad T ;_; but lovely =)

The things she felt for Lovejoy were not responsible. Alexander was the most irresponsible of the lot, leaving her alone so often and allowing -- encouraging -- this to go on. It took her most of the year that Lovejoy was in prison to figure out why, though the answer was laughably simple: it made Alex's life easier.
O.o looks like an angsty riddled fandom

Phyllis Logan is very different in Lovejoy than in DA. One of the things I like about Lovejoy is that on the surface it's light, fluffy, and funny, but killing just below is a cespool of darkness.
A ndthere doesn't seem to be a fandom at all, so I have to try to drum one up!

I'd try a few eps, sure. They're nicely broken up into 10 minute chunks on You Tube.
As for how I get everything done, it's after midnight & I'm on LJ. 'Nuff said.

I've never seen the charm of the mullet, but compared to cold fish Alexander, who wouldn't get to thinking?

I'd make him visit the barber first. Liked him much better in series 1 & 6.
