I've given in. My friends and I literally have an all day DA date scheduled after exams at my place. You and bsg_aussiegirl are bad influences.

I'm hoping that your fanfic will make more sense to me once I watch, though I find this line, Moonlight kissed her face and her hair covered the pillow like a dark russet river. The years fell away and she was still young and innocent and his. He leaned down to kiss her eyelids, hoping some trace of him entered her dreams. hauntingly beautiful despite my lack of knowledge about the characters.

It´s very touching, I think you´ve captured the essence of why he loves Downton so much very well.

(*o*) ♥ the image of them running in the woods, young and careless It wasn't slap-and-tickle. He and Elsie had been as pure as Adam and Eve in Eden, free of sin because sin had not yet been invented ♥ i wish we could see that early stage (*-*)
but i don't mind having this too: He sometimes still slipped into her bedroom after the house was asleep. ♥ squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
and what follows is even better! He leaned down to kiss her eyelids, hoping some trace of him entered her dreams. ♥ that's so sweet =D
why haven't i read this before?

The more I read it, the more I love it! It's so beautiful and poetic. Specially the flashback! But it leaves me with a sense of sadness too somehow.

Congrats on the third place! :)

Lovely, sweet, and very touching. You show the beauty of their past youth and the beauty of their later years so well.I love the mention of his love for Downton and how he is born again from his time there. That's a powerful image next to the bleak images of his younger pre-Downton days.
