yep... was thinkin' of reading some really hot fangirl story but I'm thinking that might just be torture since hubby is inside and I'm stuck out here. I'll get all hot and bothered and not be able to do anything about it.
The little guy decided, for some reason, that he wanted to go to his own bed. So now it's just me and Owen out here. He's out cold so here I sit in the dark. Thank God I have my laptop to keep me company.
It's getting late anyway so I might just go to sleep.

LOL. Awww. :(
You're a good Momma! That's so cute that you do this with your boys. :)

I love doing stuff like this with them. My parents never did stuff like this with us and I really wish they had have. Shit like this is the stuff they'll remember and take with them. PLUS, it's kinda fun
I slept okay... woke up a few times but that's okay. My youngest threw in the towel once the movie was over and said he wanted to sleep in his bed so it was just my oldest, the dog, and I. At one point I woke up and looked over and the dog had weaseled her way over onto to the empty sleeping bag beside Owen and was stretched out next to him. She had her head on half of his pillow and they were sleeping with their foreheads almost touching.
It was really sweet. Of course, the mother in me was thinking "Geese, thank God we have her on that monthly flea treatment"..
Your kids will cherish stuff like this. I know, that's why I really make a point of doing stuff like that with them. I figure the memories we build from their childhood will play a major part in the way they are with their kids as adults... or at least I hope so.
I also know that there will come a time that they won't want to do these sorts of things with us so I cherish these little things just as much as they do.
Me too. My parents didn't do much stuff like that when we were kids and it's unfortunate. Don't get me wrong, they were really good parents and all... took us to all our sports stuff and what not but they weren't big on the whole quality time thing. But then, both of them worked so there wasn't a lot of spare time and they were also tired when the weekends came along i suppose... *shrugs*
I'm just glad that I am fortunate enough to be able to stay at home full time, which allows for a lot of the "household" stuff to get done during the week so that both hubby and I have more time for the kids. It's also a fine line though because you don't want them to become unable to function without you there either. I've seen a few cases like that and that's not good for anyone... least of all the child.
Sounds nice. Kinda makes me miss it all. I love waking up with seagull over my head, and hedgehogs stealing my chocolate biscuits. (The only time I've ever been okay with somebody eating MY candy). ; ) Okay, I can do without everything being damp, but other than that I love sitting with a good book, listening to the rain on the tent roof(?). I was 4-5 months old the first time I went. We used to go to Christians Ø (island), which is Denmark's most eastern point, once a year. We had/have friends there, so my mom borrowed their sink to bathe me. XD But otherwise it was 30m to running water and 100m to the nearest toilet/bath. As you know, I have a little experience in taking care of babies, and I can't fathom that she decided to go CAMPING with an infant! I can't really decide whether to be impressed or think she's crazy...

I can't imagine going camping with a baby either. That's why I'm so excited about this summer cuz they are finally old enough to do stuff like that.
