fuzzy headed

Even though I feel like I didn't get enough sleep this weekend, I'm still in a pretty good mood. My brain sure feels like it's running slowly, though!

Today I saw an Israeli film called Jellyfish. It's quite charming.

I think I will give myself the night off. There are a number of things I should do, but none of them have to be done by tomorrow. ( Read more... )

That soup sounds delicious! I don't think I've ever run across dried scallops or dried red dates.

They're rather Chinese ingredients. If we ever meet in person, I want to make you some Chinese food!

Sure! Maybe we could even hang out at my place this weekend, since you gals have been hosting so much? I won't make chicken soup, but I'll make some sort of Chinese thing :)

Yum! Sounds good! (Of course, that means I STILL won't have a chance to make that cheese sauce!)

I'm jealous that you're bilingual! I always wished I was. I've taken just enough foreign languages to get a sense that people think differently in different languages.

Days off=very necessary. And yay soup!

I'm definitely more poetic in Chinese!

And yay soup indeed!

I had a delicious -- although somewhat too sweet for my taste -- date and walnut soup at a Persian restaurant once.

I use dates very sparingly, almost the way someone uses bay leaves to flavor sauce.

Your soup sounds wonderful!

I'm jealous of your linguistic ability. I'm barely able to order at restaurants out of the country.

And I'll have to keep an eye out for Jellyfish!

Thank you!

I only have the two languages -- I wish I could take credit for more! But I think they're useful languages -- combined, English and Mandarin will let me communicate with most people in the world!
