There's SO MUCH to post!

First, thank you so much for the birthday wishes! I had a wonderful birthday, and your words made it even happier :)

Second, there is so much to be thankful for! But I feel the need for a reprise -- I am thankful for my family, who show me what it means to love unconditionally; and I am thankful for my friends, who help me to ( Read more... )

Happy getting older!

In high school I used to stuff myself into lockers for fun.

Oh man, I remember that! Every now and again I have dreams about our old school, wandering the hallways filled with lockers and such. Had one earlier this week. They often involve being lost and looking for a particular teacher, or revisiting and I *am* the teacher!

You had quite the posh stateroom! I went on a cruise the summer after HS graduation w/ my mother, and ours just had the two bunk beds, a toilet or something like, no space for a chair (one of us had to sit on the bed in order for the other to have space to change), and no window. I get motion sick from long slow motions, and my mother gets motion sick at the drop of a hat, so it was a bit unpleasant for us. :( At dinners I would watch the water glass on my table so I had a frame of reference. I get motion sick on big planes too, but little prop planes are fun!

Thank you!

Yes, the stateroom exceeded my expectations, especially because my mom got a very good deal on the cruise.

I completely forgot to yammer with you about your cruise! We'll have to do that next time! (I never slept better than when I was on the ship! Even as massive as the Carnival Glory was, I could feel it -- we did have bumpy seas, but it was still lovely!)

Yes! I has pictures!

I LOVE being rocked. If it weren't bad for my back, I'd sell my bed and buy a hammock!

Happy belated birthday! I'm terrible with those; I feel bad.

I've never been on a cruise. I'm clearly going to have to remedy that! And so glad you guy had a wonderful time.

Please don't feel bad! You always make me feel like it's my birthday :)

I was actually a little apprehensive about going on a cruise -- it sounded like a vacation for old, rich, and nosy people or young, rich and drunk people. There was a little of both, but the experience wasn't like what I had feared at all. It was so relaxing AND so much fun! I highly recommend it.

We have found that cruise packages can differ dramatically in price, often due to schedules. The best deals come very late, when they need to fill up the ship, but most people can't do that kind of last minute thing...
