wtf are you talking about? why would you say the lead character is cool, and that kills you? try making sense.

"that kills me" is a line that salinger repeats throughout the book, quite frequently.

i think he is cool because he has a way of expressing himself (the narrator aka holden) in a way that makes you feel as if he is talking to you face-to-face. you know, in 2nd person. it's probably the hardest point of view to master for a writer. do i make sense now?
