I had an appointment today. It was a follow up on my thyroid. I had seen Dr. Blake back in November and he had told me to come in around April to have things looked at again. It would figure that Dr. Blake is deployed. But they got me in with another surgeon who asked a lot of questions and seemed genuinely concerned. She was in agreement with ( Read more... )

Yep, that is from our recent trip to the seaside. It was Steve's first time at the ocean in his entire life!!! Isn't that crazy? We've lived this close to the ocean for almost 8 years and he had never been. Nerd!

He wouldn't've even known what he was missing!!
I guess now he has been, he'd want to go up there again and again.

Mike is sooo grown up! salleesuewho May 10 2006, 15:02:35 UTC
He sounds like Ethan. He's been wanting to stay home and play games or watch movies for a long time too. It's hard to believe that he is so grown now...my little Mike. :-)

We bought a treadmill a couple of months ago. I was using it before my sciatica started acting up. Ours is a big ole eyesore in our room too, but well worth it.

I miss y'all... when might y'all come back this way? Next year maybe?

i'm jealous you had a pita then pizza. yum. that sounds so yummy to me right now.

i would never use a treadmill if we bought one. it would collect clothes and dust bunnies. meh.

thebillies--it isn't a huge deal. I think more than anything I'm just exhausted from the big run around with the doctors. They are the ones who thought something was wrong. They are the ones who said I had hyperthyroidism and then said I didn't. They are the ones who said I might have cancer and then said they doubt it. And now that I want to get to the bottom of it they all act like I'm making it up...but they are the ones who started the whole thing!!! And I have nodules on my thyroid. I can't make that up. I'm just frustrated. I've had more than one doctor tell me they think I have an auto-immune disorder but they never do anything to find out. I even had one doctor tell me she was concerned I was in an early stage of multiple sclerosis (sp?) but did she order tests or anything. Nope. Why tell a patient these things and then not do anything about it ( ... )

Yes, I know what you mean. My doctors are exactly the same. First I had SAD then depression then anxiety disorder, and then panic attacks, and of course palpitations and chest pain have nothing to do with the heart or anything else nearby it is my esophagus even though reading up on it, it is not what is going on at all. I reckon most of it is linked to just one thing, but what that is is not yet known as only I, an unqualified person is bothering to really put any effort into finding out. Haha, that's about right what you say then.
