Bleh! I hate the stupid contractors here. I'm very ticked off at the moment. Yesterday, while cleaning, I noticed a strange smell. I am not sure how to describe it but it was a chemical smell. I had washed my kitchen rugs and they were in the dryer so I thought maybe the rubber backing on the rugs had gotten too hot. But when I went to get them out

How awful for you all. My neighbour had a similar problem, and her landlord did nothing. She then thinks it might be a rat smelling as she found droppings not far from the smell. So she phoned environmental health out. They also did nothing and said that it will rot away and the smell with subside. So she phoned me and my husband went round there, and took her cupboards apart to find the dead rat and removed it for her. The smell then went. So glad I never got any here though, UGH, I shudder to think.
