I'm on a week long furlough - basically unpaid vacation so the company can get it's cash flow in order. This would be fine, except they told me on Friday that my furlough would start this Monday. That shot any potential visit to Michigan in the foot ( Read more... )

Aw - I looked up flights, but sadly I do not have a spare $700 lying around. Silly airlines, giving me the impression that things are on sale. I fail to comprehend why it's like $400 to go to Spain and $700 to go to Texas. :-P

Anyway, have a good week off! Wish I could come visit - both for the sunniness and the Jane.

Aw, thanks! Yeah, tickets to Michigan on such short notice were $500 +. Arg.

Yeah our office has a good chance of doing that this July, but we've known since last year. I've heard El Paso is nice and comfortable in July, right?

Oh my... It's horrid. It was over 110 for about a week last summer. The apartment complex does have a rather nice pool though, which makes it better.
