Back in the Saddle Again......

Delta Airlines called and said my bags are at the airport and will be delivered this evening.

Now, the next task for the luggage spirits is to have them arrive without all my laundry soaked in olive oil....

I think I will now have clothes for my next trip tomorrow to Santa Fe for three weeks.

I feel very blessed right now....

Woohoo for luggage!! I'll keep my fingers crossed that the olive oil bottle is in tact.

All arrived safe and sound. Am doing laundry tonight, and will head out for a three and a half week stint in Santa Fe.

There was only a slight dint in the can, and no leaks. It was clear that customs had checked it all out, since the backpack was not packed the same way that I had packed it. BUt I am glad to have retrieved it all intact.

It's always odd to find luggage differently packed . You are lucky all is intact and there at time. And the salads are saved!
Have a safe and joyful travel.

Very lucky indeed. I had visions of olive oil-soaked laundry. But alas, the can held its seals.

I'm glad your luggage was not lost. Once when I was flying it took 3 days for my luggage to turn up. I had to drive over 80 miles to the airport to retrieve it.

The bags were delivered to my home. I still think it as the Universe's way of helping me to not haul all that stuff all over JFK airport.

Anything metallic in one's luggage seems to attract extra scrutiny. One time I was bringing a large metal ship's clock home. Another time, I had packed my beading kit, which includes wire and lots of little crimping, twisting, and cutting tools. Maybe my passport has been scanned and added to the list along with yours:).

With the recent disclosures that the Feds are preventing about 80,000 US citizens from leaving the country, many of which are journalists writers, and activists, I believe we are in good company if we are on such lists
