Last time someone did the book meme thingy, mine _did_ come from a recipe book. This time, it's from a novel, so I was nearly excited it would be something good.
"At dinner he wasn't fearsome."
Ah. Not so good. But hang on. The opening sentence on the page started on the previous page, so that could count as only the 4th complete sentence. That one wasn't so good, but maybe the next one (as the 5th complete sentence on the page) would be a goody...
"At dinner he was arrogant and loud."
Or perhaps not. A pity really, as a number of other sentences on the page were quite juicy.
