Damn it, I'm having trouble with the Aughs' file again. My game crashed twice on me, both times while I was trying to age up the baby of the family to a toddler. The first time I didn't really think anything of it, but when it happened the second time during her birthday, I thought that I'd try it again but without the cake. Well, now the file

Holy crap. I'd say if you could get into the save itself you could reset the kid (ie, the reset "cheat" code). It seems a lot like my 'ballet pose' standing adult problem.

you could try restoring the backup file, see if that works...

also, did you remove your package file *before* updating to WA? its important to remove CC&mods before you patch or install a new EP, or itll completely bork. granted, even after putting the CC&mods back in their proper place after having patched/updated, CC&mods can still cause problems with the game if they arent compatible with your new version...
...which would mean youd have to go through them to find the problem files, and delete them.
for such testing i very much recommend the no intro mod , which gets rid of the loading screen so you dont have to manually skip the intro every time you load up. cuts straight to the loading bar.
hmmm...what else.... eh, i cant think right now, but i hope that helps.

ah, right, i forgot: i have it for my game and it is compatible with WA, so the no intro mod wont be the source of crashing in your game, should you choose to try it out.
