1. What did you do in 2010 that you’d never done before?
Majorly? Totalled a car

2. Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions?
Don't even remember if I had any, but probably not.

3. Did anyone close to you have a child?
My boss had his second kid, and Lindsey and Matthew had their first.

4. What countries did you visit?
None. I barely left Texas.

5. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Can't really say I had one.

6. What was your biggest failure?
Letting an incident from last year worry me more than it should have.

7. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing major. I only mention blacking out because it's actually been the first time that happened.

8. What was the best thing you bought?
Only major purchase was the my new car, the Accord.

9. Where did most of your money go?
The basics and bills for credit cards and student loans. Damn, I would love to be debt-free again.

10. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Once I saw the Accord I eventually got, I was really excited about it.

11. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? law of averages
b) thinner or fatter? haven't weighed myself, but holding equal there too as far as I know
c) richer or poorer? probably poorer sadly

12. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Planning and saving.

13. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Getting into "too much" of a pattern day by day, week by week.

14. How will you be spending Christmas?
I got to spend it with my family, including my wife and one of my brothers-in-law. We had a good time with food, movies, and games. We were there from Christmas Eve night to the day after Christmas, and it was over way too fast.

15. What was your favorite TV program?
One of my favorites, 24, came to an end this year. As did FlashForward, which was a new favorite of mine that didn't get renewed. Other honorable mentions were Psych, How I Met Your Mother, and The Big Bang Theory.

16. What was the worst book you read?
Don't read many books, though that will change with some of my Christmas gifts.

17. What was your favorite song of 2010?
I could not stop laughing at Cee Lo Green's "F**k You." It's one of the few new songs I put on my iPod this year.

18. What did you want and not get?
Goal at the beginning of the year was to get a house. Didn't exactly go as planned.

19. What did you want and get?
Mostly little things here and there.

20. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010?
I wasn't aware I had one. Um... if it fit and was clean, I wore it. Sometimes the latter wasn't a requirement.

21. What kept you sane?
I'm sane? Being able to unwind a little every day.

22. Who was the best new person you met?
There haven't really been any major additions to my social network this year. Maybe a new co-worker on my team who's a pretty cool guy.

23. Did you do anything you are ashamed of this year?
Blacking out for probably the stupidest reason I could imagine (blood donation).

24. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2010.
"Learn," not really. "Reiterated," Things happen for a reason.

25. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
Refer to the title of my favorite song for a the year. Felt like sometimes life was saying that to me a few times mid-year.

26. What are your plans for 2011?
Big plan to get a house will continue. Will continue to work down the debt on credit cards.

All in all, it felt like I mostly treaded water this year. Aside from a few things (getting a new car, Sam finding a better job), there isn't really much that's happened that I would consider "moving forward." That is a trend I would like to break in the coming year.
