Not sure if it's really a favourite but one I always remember is by Euripides: "What anger worse or slower to abate then lovers love when it turns to hate."

Of course one I do love comes from Doctor Who: "I'm the Doctor. I'm a Time Lord. I'm from the planet Gallifrey in the constellation of Kasterborous. I'm 903 years old and I'm the man who's gonna save your lives and all six billion of the people on the planet below. You got a problem with that?"
