I can see my Auntie is going to be well pissed now that her state of Maryland is going to allow gay marriage. I laughed so hard when I heard that.

The whole world was backing Obama so it would have been devastating if he'd lost.

YES! I'm so pleased with all of those states, but because they start with M they're not really on my radar as much as they ought to be.

That too, the world wants him to stay in power and Romney would have been a huuuuuge mistake. Thankfully we dodged that bullet.

Not paying attention to Minnesota?! Tsk. ;)

(How'd Prop 37 do?)

There are 50 states, so a lot of the M-states get lost in the shuffle for me! And it really doesn't help y'all that you're in the middle somewhere because I have to ignore a lot of what happens in the Midwest otherwise I would be screaming endlessly.

(It lost 45% to 54%, alas. I'm more bummed about what happened with Prop 34 though, especially since that campaign didn't go the route talking about how costly it is to keep people on death row vs. life imprisonment. As in millions vs. thousands. Much of the state would have latched onto that because they generally appear to want the state to spend money on healthier things like education.)

And totally true. If I could I would bathe in their tears with one of my guys, just to further humiliate them.

I'm happy it turned out well. I would have been really disappointed if the Republicans won after their campaign went out of its way to alienate the young, the gay, the women, the non-white, and the non-rich. Watching that weird racist #VoteWhite and "It's called the White House for a reason" stuff on Twitter was disconcerting; at least last election they were at least classy enough to pretend that the reason they disliked Obama wasn't because he was black. This time not so much. I really don't see how anyone could look at the people supporting Romney (never mind looking at Romney himself; he was a whole other story) and all the blatant lies/racism/sexism/homophobia/classism and think "Yeah, that sounds like a great idea."

I know, right? And they also alienated the elderly, considering Ryan's proposed tax plans put Social Security and Medicare on the table to be cut down. But, yeah, they really pandered to their more extreme base and it was so frightening. Said base just needs to go on a mass exit to the middle of the ocean, I'm sure they would be welcome on Gilligan's Island. (And, my god, Romney just needs to have never existed. I really, really want a respectable opposition the next time around but the Republican party's not likely to as fully learn from this clusterfuck.)

Lol. I love that "neoconservative tears: it's the taste you've been waiting for." Too funny.

I know, right? It's one of the greatest graphics that I've seen around lately, especially in light of the White People Mourning Romney tumblr.
