Funny, I had a bottle of Southern Tier's Chocolat Stout today myself. It is delicious. M asked why the apartment smelled like somebody was baking a cake, and it turned out to be the smell of my beer making him think of cake.
Most Southern Tier offerings are at least interesting if not awesome. The "Creme Brulee" stout i had a couple of times last summer is kinda sweet but marvelous and we can't find it anywhere now... for months. My friend Alex found a retailer with some down in Pennsylvania & has been trying to muster group interest in that somewhat pricey purchase.
ST's "Pumking" was the most interesting pumpkin-themed beer we had - kinda tasted like a whole pie. Shipyard and Dogfish Head put out pumpkin beers (the latter's was "Punkin") that i was more inclined to drink, but what a party! :)
This feels like a golden age for beer dabblers! :)
