The economy has finally caught up to Teh Law Firm. They've fired several people in the last two days and asked several more to resign. . .including 11 attorneys.

This is, apparently, only the beginning of the lay-offs. Support staff and partners are coming shortly. Paranoia is amazingly high.

Can it be April yet??

Ugh, the legal market is awful right now. I've been following all the layoffs and it's brutal. My boyfriend is a recent grad trying to find a job in these awful conditions... :( *hugs* and prayers for you and your coworkers. It's a crappy situation for those let go and those staying (although obviously worse for the ones who still have jobs).
