So divinemum tagged me for the most recent meme circulating. She had laundry to avoid, I have phone calls to ignore. :-D

Once you have been tagged, you are supposed to write down 25/30 songs you cannot live without. You know, the ones you can listen to over and over and never get tired of. They don't have to be in any particular order. These are the ( Read more... )

I really like your song choices, because it's interesting, we're almost exactly the same age and we're not from too different parts of the country, but there is a big difference in your favorite songs and my favorite songs (although some of them are the same.)

I'll try to do this meme (NB tagged me, too) but it may take a while to have this much time online. Probably I should start making the list whenever I think of something and have it all ready to type up when I do get the chance.

Hee! *glomps* I know, I have some wacky tastes in music.

I actually typed everything up while I was off-line adn then just copied and pasted it once I had a minute to get on here. Otherwise I would have been sitting online for AGES.

OH, What was the good news!!!

11. This goes back and forth with "All These Things That I've Done" as my favorite Killers song. I think I love it so much because of the video. It's hilarious and surreal and just plain fun.

20. Hee! I like the song, but it's been a bit spoiled for my by the comedian (and I can't think of who it is at the moment) who gets all snarky on the song, and wonders why it was the cola wars that finally pushed Billy Joel over the edge.

22. That video is awesome.

23. My favorite Dylan Song, too.

25. LOLOLOL I had a similar experience with "Bushel and a Peck". My grandmother used to sing it me all the time. I thought it was a song she had made up until I saw "Guys and Dolls" when I was in college. Then the light bulb went on. ;)

27. One of my favorites, too. I'm still searching the perfect version.

I will definitely do this one - I loved reading about your songs!

I'm going to have to take Jules' tip of writing the songs down as I think of them and then posting. Um... San Fernando Valley!
