Boss from Hell!
Okay, so I got pulled into my boss's office yesterday at 5 O'clock. She said that the board responded to my letter and effective Monday we will all work from 9-5. If we are requested to work late, we will be asked and OT will be payed. We will also receive OT for the conference that we worked

I do know in in california that you cannot legally leave work on your breaks (except for lunch)...not sure if that's different in Canada though.
but it definitely is funny that your boss feels the need to reprimand you in some fashion!! dumb bitch knows she's wrong and just taking it out on you.
hopefully soon, you won't be working for her any longer though! but once again, congrats on getting in there and changing things...your co-workers should be THANKING YOU BIG TIME!!
