So these are the NYMF shows I'm planning on going to.
About Face - really excited for this. The clips sound great on the website, and I LOVE Barbara Walsh.
The Bubble - again, the clips on the website make this sound like an interesting show. A minimalist musical, kind of in the vein of I Was Looking at the Ceiling, but much more lighthearted. (And without John Adams's amazing score too, probably.)
College: The Musical - The songs actually sound quite intelligent. Like, not Henry Higgins, but not idiotic humor either. Anyone know anything about this?
Cyclone and the Pig-Faced Lady - Interesting premise, interesting music. Someone said it sounded like Adding Machine, and I wouldn't go that far, but I am looking forward to hearing the whole score.
Jerusalem Syndrome - The songs on the website literally made me laugh out loud. It doesn't seem like my kind of show, but Helena wants to go, so I'll definitely give it a chance.
Love Jerry - The songs are underwhelming, but I love the author -
click here for her website - and Donna Lynne is in it, so I have to go.
The Road to Ruin - this sounds like it could be funny and cute, or it could be terrible. But either way, Brooke Sunny Moriber and Ann Morrison are in it, and I missed Ann Morrison's show last year, so I have to go to this.
Anyone know about other good shows? I was thinking of The Hatpin, or maybe Villa Diodati?
