I LOVED Amelia Bedalia! Also my faves were the PeeWee Scouts Halloween book, Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs, Little Witch, Babysitters Club, The Giver, Island of the Blue Dolphins, Blue Heron, Little Women, Anne of Green Gables series, Jeff Moss and Shel Silverstein books, The Devil's Arithmetic, Number the Stars, and so many more. I still like to re-read those faves of my past just to keep me young. Plus to this day they are still some of the BEST books ever. :)

Oh man, I used to love Bruce Coville. The "Teacher" books are amazing.
